Lte's remember that the Caribbean is home for 10% of all coral reefs in the world and the objective of this project is to safeguard and create healthier and stronger ecosystems that will allow them to survive climate change and restore nearby reefs, contributing significantly to increased biodiversity, economic prosperity and food security in the region.

This project funded by "Nature Conservancy" in collaboration with the "International Climate Initiative" of Germany and will be managed by the Jamaican Foundation "Alligator Head".

German Ambassador to Jamaica Jan Hendrik van Thiel said the "CoralCaribe" project will introduce innovative and new scientific approaches, including an assessment and implementation plan for threat reduction.
