Morocco signs an agreement with Haiti in the field of air transport

On Thursday, April 16, 2026, on the sidelines of the Global Symposium on Implementation Support (GISS 2026), Abdessamad Kayouh, Minister of Transport and Logistics, signed three bilateral air transport agreements in Marrakech with the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, the Republic of Haiti, and the Republic of Mauritius.

The agreements focus on developing air services between the parties and aim to establish a modern, balanced legal framework that complies with international standards. These agreements include provisions for multiple airline designations, the operation of weekly flight frequencies, and measures related to civil aviation safety and security.

They also pave the way for increased cooperation between the airlines involved, particularly through the establishment of commercial and technical partnerships, thereby contributing to improved air connectivity and facilitating the flow of passengers and goods.

The signing of these agreements is part of His Majesty King Mohammed VI's policy to strengthen the Kingdom's air connectivity with its international partners and to position Morocco as a regional hub linking Africa to the rest of the world.
