Haiti - Security : The red zones are increasing in Petit-Goâve

Sunday, February 7, activists and supporters of the "Mixed Front of Liberation" took to the streets of Petit-Goâve, to say no to the growing insecurity in the commune.

From 6:00pm, here are some places where you should not go to avoid being attacked. Places that once were deemed peaceful, welcoming, have now become "red zones" they include : Fort-Liberté, Béatrice, André 17, Mayoro, street Desvignes prolongée, the proximity of the town cemetery, Cupidon, Pont-Caïman, Grand chemin, Regal...

Each evening but also every morning, insecurity caused casualties. When these are not girls who are raped, these are small merchants who are robbed of their few possessions or citizens who are deprived of their mobile phone, when the bandits did not attack the cars using the National Road #2...

Nobody is immune in this climate of insecurity prevailing in Petit-Goâve.

There are voices condemning the daily insecurity and ask the Police Commissioner, Jacques Ader and the Government Commissioner, Me Lenord Julien, to take responsibility to combat the resurgence of insecurity in Petit-Goâve.
