Haiti - FLASH : More than 20 victims of violence per day in the second quarter of 2023 (report)

On Thursday August 31, 2023, the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH) published its latest quarterly report on the human rights situation in Haiti. During the second quarter of 2023 (April – June), BINUH documented more than 1,860 victims of murders, injuries and kidnappings across the country. An increase of almost 14% in the number of victims compared to the previous quarter (January – March 2023).
