Haiti - Tourism : Success for the 5th Festival Tastes and Flavours Lakay

For its 5th edition, the culinary festival Tastes and Flavours Lakay (September 17 to 27, 2015) has set the table in several restaurants, hotels and bars in the city where spirits, desserts and good food held spellbound an informed public, having in common their fine palate.

Between cocktails competition, chic dinners and festivals, the audience responded in large numbers and had a lot of interaction with the Chiefs and did not hide his satisfaction.

For the Chef Tanya Lemaire "I am in my 4th participation and for once, I was on my own as Chief, I find that the feedback was very positive. The public has responded positively to my hand paintings on cakes and to my local flavor desserts," promising to be present at the next edition.

Chef Alain L. thinks that "this initiative can provide inspiration, motivation for young people who want to devote themselves to this profession but are in need of models."

Johanne Buteau, organizer of the event "This 5th edition is the best of all [...] 27 local and 15 international Chefs have been to the height and offered a performance as innovative and inspired than extraordinary. I take this opportunity to salute their efforts [...]" In the process, distinctions were awarded to certain personalities for their outstanding contribution to the Haitian cuisine.
