Haiti - Economy : The CFI condemns the Attacks on some Businesses...
In a note, the Directorate General of Investment Facilitation Center (CFI) "strongly condemns the attacks suffered by some businesses, mainly in the city of Petion-Ville, at demonstrations of 18 November 2013 and presents its condolences to all investors victims of the excesses of some demonstrators.
Since 12 January 2010, extraordinary efforts and unparalleled sacrifices are made daily by the business sector, mainly small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Knowing that the strength of an economy in any country is directly related to the ability of SMEs to create jobs and wealth, the Directorate General of CFI salute the courage of all those Haitians, who have trusted in the country to place their investments.
CFI wants to send a clear message to supporters of violence. The continued unrest can only harm to these efforts to attract new private investment and strengthening SMEs. Members of the business sector, the Directorate General of CFI, renews you its full support.
