During the 21th Governing Council, which was held at the Primature, the past week around the theme "Investment and job creation in Haiti", Georges Andy René, Director General of Investment Facilitation Center (CFI) has announced that the CFI would prepare guidelines on investment, which will be distributed to embassies and consulates to provide foreign investors and the Haitian diaspora, the comparative advantages offered by Haiti.

Henri-Claude Müller-Poitevin, the President of the Tripartite Commission for Implementation of the HOPE Act (the CTMO-HOPE), that intervened on the issue of promising sectors of the economy, including, among others, tourism, agriculture and textiles stressed that Haiti was too dependent on its textile sector, which represents in money, nearly 90% of exports.

In addition, officials of the Council of Economic and Social Development (CDES), a strategic body of the Primature, whose dual mission is to simplify administrative procedures and facilitate investment and private initiative, have advocated the establishment of an Institute of trades related to investment to equip the country with professionals to run the business, an indispensable aspect for investors and the revival of the economy of Haiti.
