Saturday, Sophia Martelly, the First Lady of the Republic, held a consultation day at the Lycée Fito Gracia of Grand Goâve, for the benefit of the inhabitants of the town and surrounding areas.

With the help of physicians of the Office of Workers' Compensation Insurance, Sickness and Maternity (OFATMA) and other volunteers, 303 people, including 154 adults and 149 children received free general consultation and medicines. Some patients, whose cases required further medical care were taken into account.

The population welcomed with enthusiasm the initiative of the wife of the Head of State who recommended the inhabitants to have a preventive approach regarding their health. She also reiterated her commitment to supporting the President of the Republic, in his actions aimed at really put the basic services within the reach of everyone.
