The Ministry of Education recalls that the ministerial circular (ref. C-11, 1424) dated August 8, 2013, fixed the school fees in public schools as follows :

1) For the 1st and 2nd cycles of the fundamental, from the 1st to the 6th year of fundamental: completely free, fully supported by the State under the program universal education, free and compulsory (PSUGO)

2) For the 3rd cycle of the fundamental and secondary : two hundred fifty (250) gourdes with an additional fee of one hundred fifty (150) gourdes to cover other expenses for pedagogical and extracurricular activities,

The Ministry of Education, reminded the general public and anyone concerned in particular that it is forbidden to claim other fees, under penalty. The Ministry asked to the Departmental Directors to take all necessary measures for the full implementation of this measure.

Supervision teams will be dispatched to schools to verify compliance with the instructions of the Ministry. Violators will be severely punished, according to the Act and regulations in this area.

The Ministry invite parents to complain to the office of academic inspection for any case of deviation noted in a school or call the Centre of complaint of the Ministry to report them to the number *788
