Wednesday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, participated in the presence of the authorities of Public Security, of responsible for Logistics and Public Security, to a meeting held by the Organizing Committee of the Carnival of Flowers on the progress of the festivities of the Carnival of Flowers to be held on 28, 29 and 30 July.

The Organizing Committee announced that the Carnival of Flowers will have 10 queens dressed by 10 of our best local designers, 13 bands are confirmed and the organization of this event provides employment to more than 1,500 people: makeup artists, dancers, designers, artisans, painters, caterers, choreographers, artists... Carnival Time : from 5:00 pm until 2:00 am.

Moreover, Réginald Delva, the Secretary of State for Public Security, asking motorists to exercise caution during these times of great festivities.

The Office of Communication of the Presidency who wish to all a happy carnival of flowers, wishes to remind the general public that, by presidential decree dated June 27, 2013, it was decided that :

Article 1. - are declared legal holidays and nonworking [schools, trade and industry] for the festivities of the Carnival of Flowers:

1. The day of Monday, July 29, 2013, at noon;

2. The day of Tuesday, July 30, 2013 in its entirety.

The Consulate of the Republic of Haiti in Orlando informs the Haitian community of its jurisdiction that due to public holidays, the Consulate will be closed on Monday 29 at noon and Tuesday, July 30, 2013 all day.
