Haiti - Reconstruction : Evaluation visit of projets of Petit-Goâve

Saturday, the engineer Bien-Aimé Jacques, Technical Director of the Office of Monetization and Maxime Cherestal, the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Planning, accompanied by Deputy Jacques Stevenson Thimoléon, visited various ongoing projects in Petit-Goâve : reconstruction of the Port of the city, rehabilitation of lycée Faustin Soulouque, electrification of different suburbs : strret benoît, Fort-Liberté, Maro, Chabanne, Curtis and the asphalting the street Saint Paul, of the road of Acul, of chemin Neuf, of the strret Bijoux, street Faustin and street of Roulottes de la Hatte.

"This is at the behest of Deputy Thimoléon that the Government Martelly-Lamothe for some time began running some infrastructure projects in Petit-Goâve. [...] By agreeing to support the Executive, we made a choice of heart and reason in the interests of the population so that it can benefit from certain projects. For 25 years, the city of Petit-Goâve was almost dead on the economic plan and nobody said anything. It is under the Government Martelly and thanks to my statement that the town of Petit Goâve has received some large-scale projects," declared the parliamentarian.

"[...] We have initiated and funded on recommendations of local authorities, the electrification project of certain areas of the city and we are here today to assess the progress of work and see how we can make other small projects in other areas of the town according to the needs and problems of the population," indicated the Director of the Office of Monetization.
