Saturday, President Michel Martelly, accompanied by Charles Jean Jacques, Minister of Social Affairs and Labour, carried out a visit of supervision at the Community Restaurant of Mesaye, a town in the municipality of Cabaret.

This restaurant that has been operating for one month already, allows every day to 500 people to get a balanced meal for only 10 gourdes. This initiative falls within the framework of National Program "Ede-Pèp" set up by the Ministry of Social Affairs, aimed at alleviate the most vulnerable segments of the population.

"The priority of my administration for the moment is to improve the living conditions of the population. We work tirelessly to strengthen the educational system for the benefit of Haitian youth," declared the Head of State.

After this visit at the Community Restaurant of Mesaye, the President Martelly walked in the town of Cabaret, in the midst of a jubilant crowd, expressing his gratitude.
