"Haiti Aviation" is the name of the new airline company of Haitian investors, which provides for the moment, the way Miami-Port-au-Prince. The inaugural flight took place on Friday, July 19, 2013. Officials say that they want help bring back tourists in Haiti. Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, who applauded the initiative, said that talks are already underway with the leaders of this new company to develop packages on the destination.

"[...] It is a great pleasure for the Government of Haiti to receive the first Haitian airline [...] since 18 years there was no airline [bearing this name] that comes in Haiti, so we are happy to receive them. We just had a meeting with representatives to see how we can better work together. As you know, in December we launched a package in Canada, and since 2 months in the United States, one of the biggest partners that we need are the airlines [...]

We just share good arguments to see how we can improve travel packages, I know that the diaspora complains that the tickets are too expensive, that they can not come [...] Haiti Aviation, will overcome to what prevents tourists coming, what is sometimes too high prices [...]

This week and next week they have their flights full [Carnival of Flowers], we have many rural festival and there will be other events, that will be carried out during the year. Haiti Aviation support the Government's efforts to bring back tourists in Haiti, so welcome, it will be a pleasure to work together, welcome home, welcome in Haiti [...]" declared the Minister of Tourism.
