Last Thursday, Josette Darguste, acting Minister of Cultureheld another meeting with the Committee of the Carnival of Flowers 2013 on the progress of the preparations for the carnival festivities and particularly on measures to adopt in order to ensure security on the route of the carnival.

The Minister stressed the need for the National Police of Haiti (PNH), to strengthen the safety devices throughout the course of the carnival.

"The course must be sterile," explained the Divisional Commissioner Michel-Ange Gédéon, Departmental Director of the West by taking the words of the Minister, promising to correct the discrepancies recorded last year.

Moreover, to meet the demand of Dr. Claude Suréna, head of Committee on "Emergency", the Commissioner Gédéon announced the availability to the Sub-Committee, of PNH officers, in order to facilitate the movement of rescue in case of emergency.
