Tuesday in Pacot, President Michel Martelly proceeded to the official reopening of the Haitian State Lottery (LEH). This institution will be able to refill its regulatory function control and of administration of the gambling industry and also promote the sale of lottery safely and responsibly.

"I have great pleasure today to restart this institution that for 14 years, closed its doors because of socio-political upheaval. Thus I accomplished a promise made during my election campaign and that the people had approved, taking into account the benefits that can result from a sound and rigorous management of the sector of gambling," declared the Head of State, who took the opportunity to greet the National Association of keepers of Borlette (ANTB), which, in the absence of the State Lottery, knew coordinate the sector.

Redeploy the Haitian State Lottery throughout the national territory, modernize it, by the establishment of an adequate computer system, normalize gambling games, create direct and indirect jobs are the main objectives of the Haitian State Lottery. "The reopening of this structure must be a collective effort for the benefit of all Haitians," declared Ronald Décembre, Secretary of State for Finance, announced that the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the parent institution of LEH is determined to accompany it by providing the resources necessary for its proper functioning.

"This reopening will allow fans of gambling games o revive this practice," declared Fritz Jean-Louis, Director General of the LEH, that sent thanks to certain personalities and institutions of the place having contributed to the realization of this project, after two and a half years of work.

The LEH, resuming its position of regulation, will intervene on the whole system of national games of chance (BAKARA, CASINO, LOTO, BORLETTE, GAGUERE, etc...)
