Haiti - Security : A fire station in Fort-Liberté

Last week, as part of the Humanitarian Assistance Program of the Southern Command of the U.S. Armed Forces (U.S. Southern Command) was inaugurated in the presence of local and U.S. officials that are associated with the Public Affairs Office of the Embassy of the United States of America, Attache Senior Defence, Ministry of Justice and Public Safety and CSS Holdings Inc., a fire station in the town of Fort-Liberté. Built at a cost of U.S. $ 722.460, this station with a surface of ​​3,400 square feet, is the first of a series of 14 to be built across the country.

The U.S. representative stated that "The fire station will provide capacity for additional services in the fight against fires and emergency medical service in the region of Fort-Liberté [...] it will increase the quality of life of the local population and also play a significant role in the case of large scale emergency in Haiti."
