Haiti - Reconstruction : Promises of the Head of State in Fort Liberté

Wednesday in Fort Liberté, within the framework of strengthening of state institutions, the President Michel Martelly, proceeded at the inauguration of the new premises of the Departmental Delegation of Northeast.

The inauguration of the new premises of the Departmental delegation of the Northeast, at a cost of 3 million U.S. dollars, is the result of a partnership between the Haitian government and the United Nations Mission in Haiti (Minustah). The President Martelly expressed its thanks to the UN mission for this accompaniment "I thank the Minustah who understood the necessity today to help the country's development."

In addition, the Head of State gave the guarantee to the population of North-East that the construction of a modern port in their department, as promised, will shortly be a reality, with the financial support of the U.S. Government. Meanwhile, he promised to build 1,000 permanent houses in the department "The government is ready to give the best of himself, to make sustainable development a reality," declared the President Martelly.

In addition, the Head of State invited all citizens to change their mentality and adopt a responsible a responsible attitude vis-à-vis the Fatherland.
