Wednesday, the Dominican President Danilo Medina will travel to Haiti in the border town of Juana Mendez (Ouanaminthe) (North East) to participate in the launch with the Haitian authorities, of a reforestation project, based on examples implemented in the Dominican Republic.

The President Medina, who will travel by helicopter, will be accompanied among others by Bautista Rojas, the Minister of the Environment and a delegation of members of his cabinet. During his short visit, the President Medina will meet with President Michel Martelly.

According to reports, this visit would follow a request for cooperation made ​​by the President Martelly in April, on the sidelines of the 5th Summit of the ACS.
