In a statement, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, on behalf of the Government wishes a happy feast to all the mothers on the occasion of Mother's Day.

"This celebration, which recalls the important role played by Haitian women in our society, pays tribute to the courageous mothers of families, who work tirelessly to ensure a better future for their offspring.

These two flagship programs of the Government, helped educate more than 1.2 million children (PSUGO) and financially support almost 80,000 mothers, through their integration in 'Ti manman cheri' one of the sub-programs 'Ede Pèp'

The Prime Minister Lamothe, that formulates his best wishes of happiness to all mothers, including those in the Diaspora on the occasion of Mother's Day, reiterated the strong commitment of the Government to continue to work for the well-being of Haitian families."
