Haiti - Social : Installation of new DG of the Ministry of Social Affairs

Friday, Charles Jean-Jacques, the Minister of Social Affairs and Labour (MAST) in the presence of the Director of Cabinet, Stéphane Saoud and some executives, proceeded with the installation of the new Director General of the Ministry, Mr. Volmy Fils, an executive of experience with over 35 years within this institution.

In his speech for the occasion, the Minister Jean-Jacques reiterated the concern of President Michel Martelly and of his Head of Government, Laurent Lamothe, to give priority to the establishment of the rule of law in the country "I am particularly pleased to install a veteran of the Ministry, someone who has traveled almost all services. Also, I am led to believe that the machine starts today and the pending cases will begin immediately to reach the stage of treatment."

The Minister took the opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to work towards the improvement of living conditions of the poorest strata of the country by the application of a social policy based on respect and dignity.
