David Bazile, the Minister of Interior and Territorial Communities, brings to the attention of the general public that the repairs work on the premises of the Directorate of Immigration and Emigration will take much more time than expected. Accordingly, the Department of Immigration and Emigration will not open its reception services within the time specified in the note of April 8, 2013 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-8326-haiti-notice-temporary-closure-of-certain-governmental-services.html To overcome this problem, the Ministry of Interior and Territorial Communities invites all applicants to use the services of a Travel Agency officially Commissioned by Presidential Decree (listed below) to make their request to produce a passport or residence permit (permis de séjour) from Monday, May 13, 2013.

The Directorate of Immigration and Emigration will continue with its service of delivery as mentioned in the previous press note.

The Ministry of Interior and Territorial Communities apologizes to its applicants and takes advantage to ask them to comply with the new provisions.
