Haiti - Politic : According to Aristide, Fanmi Lavalas is likely to Win the next Election
In the aftermath of a major demonstration of popularity in the streets of the capital, after a hearing before the judge Ivickel Dabrésil, in charge of the instruction of the investigation on the double assassinations, April 3, 2000, of the journalist Jean Léopold Dominique and the security guard of the radio station Haiti Inter, Jean-Claude Louissaint ; the former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, before a group of journalists invited at his residence in Tabarre [his first public statement since his return from exile in March 2011], thanked the Haitian people stressing "[...] Yesterday was a typical day, you turned it into a great day."
Addressing the upcoming senatorial elections [10 senators renewal], municipal and local, and given the importance of the manifestations of the day before, the former Head of State considers that the Fanmi Lavalas party, became stronger today "If there are free, fair and democratic elections, there are many chances that it won the majority of positions in game [...] yesterday I felt a tremor of heart against the crowd. Between the Haitian people and me, there is a marriage of heart that heals the pain of the earthquake that struck Haiti."
Regarding the situation in the country, Aristide think that hunger in the country and one of the "biggest problems [...] Haitian can not hide the suffering of hunger [...] hunger is a very serious issue today more than before. Only one party can not solve this problem. I call on Haitians from everywhere, political and economic elites to unite to face this situation."
