In a statement from the Office of the Minister of Defence, signed by the Minister Jean Rodolphe Joazile, the latter explains that civilians pretending to be demobilized soldiers, multiply noisy declarations in the radios of the capital and provincial cities, even threatening to occupy former military outposts in parts of the country.

"Such acts and behavior, absolutely unworthy of the military people are in total contradiction with the momentum created for some time by the Government, which in March 2013 released twenty million gourdes in favor of former military, and still preparing this week to make available to the Office of Management Military demobilized (BGMD) of additional funds, which should allow to continue with the process of compensation.

Also, the Government asks the demobilized soldiers to not endorse these political maneuvers, to not tolerate that intriguing exploit their good reputation of distinguished servants of the Fatherland and their impatience, legitimate, to cause trouble in the country on behalf of claims improperly endorsed and which, moreover, are in the process of complete satisfaction. So he invited them to keep their remain calm and their posture of dignity for not providing the coverage of their name and status to the professional agitators, which only want appear presumptuously before the political scene in a clear intention to create confusion, chaos and undermine the republican order.

The Government of the Republic, in the exercise of its sovereign attributes guardian of public safety, will react with the utmost rigor against the usurpers of the title and these offenders of camouflaged sedition. He will take the most drastic measures to ensure compliance with the facilities and property of the State and to ensure political stability and public peace."
