Haiti - Culture : Fundraising for the 3rd BiblioTaptap in Haiti

Libraries Without Borders (BSF) and its partners are launching the third Haitian mobile library "BiblioTaptap." Decorated with talent by Haitian artisans, two mobile libraries have already been put in circulation since July 2012 and serve each month, more than 15,000 children and adults.

The initiative of BiblioTaptaps fits in the context of reconstruction of Haiti, to make available again the intellectual, cultural and social resources that are integral part of the accompaniment of the population to the culture. Beyond simple mobile libraries, BiblioTaptaps come also strengthen the capacity of civil society, by creating places for meetings and debate, on the squares, outside the camps or on roadsides.

To find the latest financing needed to transform a vehicle in BiblioTapTap, BSF appeals to you to collect the remaining 7,500 euros. It is the Association "Peintres et Artisans des Taptap Haïtien" (Painters and Artisans of Haitian Taptap" (APATAH), which will handle the transformation of the vehicle (arrangements, decoration...)
