Haiti - Culture : Young artists paint the portraits of Presidents and Chancellors

As part of the exhibition of pictorial works « Kalfou Richès Peyi Dayiti », presents at the 5th Summit of the EAC, of young artistic painters [Antoine Lucson, Brescard Mulx Schandel, Romé Figué, Lorvens Lovens, Widmaer Saint Paul, Walgens Pierre Jean, Patrick Lafontant, Jean Baptiste Abeth Négo, Louis Sergo et Germain Francius] coming from Cité Soleil, Carrefour Feuilles, Fort Mercredi and Bel Air, were invited to paint on site, at Karibe Convention Center the portraits of Heads of State of Government attending the Summit, an initiative of the Office of the Minister Delegate in Charge of Human Rights and the Fight Against Extreme Poverty, Marie Carmelle Rose Anne Auguste.

Wednesday, come enjoy the talent of these young artists, who perform their talent also in other styles: landscape, abstract, surrealism... Ambassador Dominican, Ruben Silie, acquired the portrait of Dominican President, Danilo Medina Sánchez. Like him, many distinguished visitors, seemed deeply appreciate the dexterity and fine portraits painted by the young.

From disadvantaged areas, the painter artists, say they are proud to be present at such an international event "We must admit that without the movement Kalfou Richès Peyi Dayiti, we would not have had this opportunity. First, because we are young, then because of our social environment," commented Brescard Mulx Schandel.
