Haiti - Justice : Aristide before the investigating judge on May 8, 2013
Following the cancellation of the invitation of former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-8406-haiti-justice-postponement-of-the-hearing-of-j-b-aristide.html to the Prosecutor of Port-au-Prince before the investigating judge Ivickel Dabrésil, April 24, 2013 as part of teh case of the double assassinations April 3, 2000, of journalist Jean Léopold Dominique and of security guard of the station radio Haïti Inter, Jean-Claude Louissaint, Me Dabrésil sent by bailiff at the residence of former President Aristide (in Tabarre) a new mandate, inviting him to appear to answer questions of justice, on May 8, 2013.
Me Mario Joseph, one of the lawyers of former President Aristide and Dr. Maryse Narcisse, coordinator of Fanmi Lavalas, confirmed the receipt of this notification of justice. Me Joseph told that Mr. Aristide had not yet composed his law firm on this issue and said he was not mandated until now to defend the former president, and stated that M. Aristide respond to the invitation sent by the magistrate transmitted in the manner prescribed by law "President Aristide has always said it would make available to the justice of his country, for whatever reason [...] It will be there in court May 8."
