Haiti - Agriculture : Agricultural Fair, agro-industrial and artisanal

On the occasion of the celebration of the feast of Agriculture and Labor, May 1, 2013, the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development (MARNDR), the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour (MAST) and the Ministry for the Promotion of the peasantry (MPP) announced that the Agricultural fair, Agro-industrial and Artisanal, will be held this year, respectively, at the Ministry of Agriculture to Damien, from 1 to 5 May, and to the Campus of the University Henri Christophe in Limonade May 1st around the theme "Se travay ayisyen kap devlope ayiti tout bon".

Farmers, artisans, artists, entrepreneurs, agro-industrial workers and intellectuals from across the country will showcase their products and their works. The aim of the fair is to promote domestic production and encourage people to eat local.

Moreover, preceding this event, on 29 and 30 April will be held an opendoor of two days in the premises of Ministry of Social Affairs [in town] and Agriculture in Damien. Other similar activities will be organized in other departments of country.
