The Jazz Foundation Haiti and Ayiti Mizik present, with the support of the Programme ARCADES "Next Beat Haiti", a "springboard" of discovery of new talents that will allow twenty groups to compete before a committee of professionals and to a final selection of 7 groups, to record a "demo" in studio, which will perhaps be the beginning of their careers. 7 categories of music are open to applications : Jazz, Classic, Urban Music, Song, Konpa, Evangelical, Traditional.

Candidates must present Wednesday, April 17, 2013, the registration form and a CD (non professional),in order to enable the Committee to preselect 6 groups listed among the 20 first registered, in each of the 7 categories in order to be interviewed.

The selection committee, composed of ten members experts and professionals of the music BelO, Joel Widmaier, Fred Lizaire, Myria Charles, Gahri Lubin, Fabrice Rouzier, Erol Josué, Carl Frédéric Behrmann, Ralph Millet and father David César, will meet every day during the selection period. The 42 shortlisted groups will present their song "live" before the Committee for the selection of the 21 groups which will participate before the public every Wednesday from 8 May to 19 June in concerts "showcase" that will enable music professionals guests (producers, entertainment entrepreneurs, managers, record labels etc...) to attend, the performance of these 21 amateur groups, from which will out the 7 winners.

The 7 scenes "springboard" of which will perform thses new talents are : Fokal, Havanah, Backyard, Le Villate, Garden Studio, Yanvalou, will be open to the public for a nominal fee of 100 gourdes. 3 groups will perform there every night, each lasting about 20 minutes.

On June 21, day of the feast of music, a "jam session" will close the "Next Beat Haiti" by welcoming the best group in each category. The 7 winners will also have the chance to record music of their choice, through partnerships of three recording studios (Bwa Moket Studio, Baoli Records Studio, Real Biz Studio).

Registration forms are available to "Kay Mizik La" 27, avenue John Brown, Lalue, Port-au-Prince (next to the pharmacy Vital Herne) and to the Radio Télé Métropole.

The official list of the selected groups will be published on 26 April 2013.
