From April 5 to May 18, 2013, will take place the Championship of University Football, between 11 of 9 faculties of the State University of Haiti (UEH), whose 10 faculties in Port-au-Prince and the Campus Henry Christophe (Limonade), at Sylvio Cator Stadium and to the Sports Centre Dadadou. The final will take place on the Flag and University Day, on May 18, 2013.

To hold this event, the authorities of the UEH have consulted among others : the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MJSC), the National Commission of Referees, those responsible for the Dadadou Sports Centre and the Stade Sylvio Cator. The participation in the various championship matches is free.

In addition, on May 18 11 boys teams and 11 women's teams (2 teams - boys and girls - by faculties) will take the start of the mini marathon of Flag and of the Citizenship, on the distance Damien-Arcahaie.

These two initiatives of the State University, have the following objectives :

• Institutionalize to the UEH, the holding each year, of flag and citizenship games ;

• Promote sport to the UEH, by creating favorable conditions for its revival ;

• Identify potential talents to consider the creation of a selection of the UEH.

The Rectorate appealed to sports authorities in order to support the public and the teams involved in this initiative and asks the students to show "fair play" and discipline during this university championship.
