The Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, has learned with dismay the news of the assassination of a executive of the Primature, in the person of Mr. Georges Henry Honorat, perpetrated in the evening of Saturday, March 23, at his private residence in Delmas 31.

In this painful circumstance, the Head of Government of the Republic, which presents its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, has already passed the necessary instructions to the police and judicial authorities to track down and punish with the utmost rigor the authors and accomplices of this odious crime.

Georges Henry Honorat, career politician, born June 3, 1957, was one of the leaders of weekly Haïti-Progrès widely known in Haiti and in the diaspora.
