Haiti - Politic : Official visit of President Martelly, at CARICOM secretariat
The Chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Michel Martelly, the President of Haiti will pay an official visit to the CARICOM Secretariat from 20-22 March 2013, in Guyana.
The President Martelly will hold discussions with CARICOM Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque and his Executive Management team on Thursday 21 March at the Secretariat’s Turkeyen, Guyana headquarters, he will also meet with the staff of the Secretariat.
The President, who will be accompanied by Pierre Richard Casimir, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Wilson Laleau, Minister of Trade and Industry, will also hold discussions with Donald Ramotar, President of Guyana and his Cabinet.
Recall that President Martelly assumes the rotating Presidency of CARICOM since 1 January 2013 and will serve in that capacity until 30 June 2013.
