Thursday, as part of a meeting organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities (MICT), the President Michel Martelly, accompanied by David Bazile, Minister of the Interior and Territorial Communities, of Mrs. Marie Félix Mimose, Minister responsible for the promotion of the peasantry and of François Thomas, the Minister of the Environment, participated to the municipal Palace of Delmas, to a working meeting with members of the National Federation of Boards of Communal Sections (CASECs) and of Administration of Communal Sections (ASECs) of the country.

The Head of State has reminded CASECs ASECS and they are the driving force of Haiti, given their extensive knowledge of the country. "To realize my dreams and goals, you are the safest corridor," while stressing the importance of the meeting between the central power and the representatives of all the Communal Sections of the country.

The Head of State recalled the efforts of the Administration Martelly-Lamothe, to provide sustainable solutions to the fundamental problems of Haiti. So he sought the support of all Haitians, the goodwill of all and stressed the necessity for the State to support the actions of CASECs and ASECs, through various development programs.

During this meeting, which was held under the theme : "Ann pote kole ak seksyon kominal yo pou yon leta pi djanm", various issues were discussed, including issues related to rural development. The various speakers mentioned the government's social programs and the functioning of local authorities.

The Head of State stressed that institutional strengthening was a priority for local development. The accompanying of CASECs and ASECS is an important step in the fulfillment of the ideals of development, and constitutes the spearhead of the Government stating that "the CASECs and ASECS must be of agents of development. It is necessary to change the mentalities, we must come together to change the situation."

The President Martelly has also stressed the importance for the Government to support the actions of the Administration of Communal sections, by facilitating the communication between them and through the localities administered [motorcycles and mobile phones].
