Haiti - Social : Last tribute to the «Commandante» Hugo Chavez

This Friday, March 8, President Michel Martelly, accompanied by the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, took part in the funeral of President Hugo Chavez, at the Military Academy Simon Bolivar in Caracas, Venezuela.

This ceremony, highly solemn and emotional, which lasted several hours, was attended by members of the deceased's family, senior military officers and eminent personalities coming from everywhere.

To pay alast vibrant tribute to the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, about thirty Heads of State and Government of Latin America, South America, Europe, the Caribbean and from the rest of world have made ​​the displacement. Among them: Raul Castro (Cuba), Danilo Medina (Dominican Republic), Rafael Correa (Ecuador), Evo Morales (Bolivia), Mamhud Amadinedjad (Iran)...

All the Heads of State and Government present were invited, by group, to form an honor guard around the coffin of the "Commander", covered by the national flag of Venezuela.

A group of young glories of different sectors of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, sport, music, cinema, was also invited to align around the remains of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution.

The American pastor, Jessy Jacskon also present at the funeral, a saluted the memory of Hugo Chavez whose he praised the merits and qualities. The American actor Sean Penn has also marked of its presence at this ceremony very watched around the world.

In his homily for the occasion, the principal celebrant referred to the Gospel of John and the words of Jesus saying, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me will never die."

A popular musical offering, has also been given in the circumstances by the Symphony Orchestra Simon Bolivar.

The President Nicolas Maduro speaking, could not contain his tears. On a background of many tears, he recalled the magnanimity of the person who created the Chavismo. He also urged Venezuelans to work together, for the crystallization and the continuity of the vision of President Chavez "The Supreme Leader of the Revolution is not dead. His struggle for peace, solidarity, justice and sharing continues. Mission accomplished for Hugo Chavez," he concluded.
