Last week, Régine Godfrey, Minister of Communications, had an important meeting with officials from several responsible of communication of some Ministries, with the aim of harmonizing the different communication structures to better convey the actions and achievements of the Government to the public, both in Haiti and abroad.

The Minister insisted during the meeting on the need to develop as soon as possible a plan of action between the Units of Communication and Press Service of the Ministries to ensure a cohesion in the transmission of official information.

As part of its mission, the Ministry of Communication, intends to increase its efforts to provide a better visibility to the performance of the government, while insisting on transparency, freedom of expression and the good governance.

In addition, the Minister promised to multiply the meetings with the Directors of Communication of Ministries in order to ensure an effective follow-up of this initiative "I assure you of all my support in order to help you resolve the various technical issues, logistics, institutional or structural, that you face in carrying out your duties," declared the Minister, who is committed to allow the public to be informed in the best conditions.
