Haiti - Education : Haiti participates in the International Congress on Pedagogy 2013 to Cuba

Guichard Dore, Education Counsellor and Social Affairs of the Office of the President Michel Martelly, at the head of a Haitian delegation participates from February 4 to 8, to the International Congress on Pedagogy 2013 (Congreso Internacional Pedagogía 2013), which takes place at the Palace of Conventions in Havana Cuba. More than 3,000 participants from over 32 countries participate in this event.

According to official sources, Mr Dore will also represent the President Martelly at the meeting of Ministers of Education of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean countries.

Oswaldo Thimoleón, the Secretary of State for Literacy, will also attend the conference, whose program includes seminars and courses, as well as conferences, given among others by the Deputy Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the representative of Cuba at Fund UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), Seija Toro.
