Haiti - Reconstruction : Key handover of 50 permanent houses in Ti-Boucan

Development and Peace will proceed Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the project of construction of 400 permanent houses in Ti Boucan, in the town of Gressier. On this occasion, the keys and title of the first 50 houses built will be delivered to 50 families affected by the January 2010 earthquake.

This project is jointly funded by Development and Peace and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). It is being carried out in Haiti in collaboration with our partner, the Institut de technologie et d'animation communautaire (ITECA), a Haitian organization that has been operating in Gressier for 25 years, and in partnership with local authorities in the area.

In addition to the families, there will also be in attendance representatives of the Haitian government who supported the project's implementation, the Canadian Ambassador accompanied by representatives of CIDA in Haiti, as well as a delegation from Development and Peace.
