Sunday, January 20, 2nd Sunday of Carnival activities in Cap-Haitien was devoted to theregional theme "Istwan se Idantiten" (our history is our identity). A crowd of revelers of all ages, had massed in front of the podium erected on the Place d'Armes of the town, to applaud the various performing arts and theater of this second Cultural Evening of National Carnival which will take place 10 to 12 February 2013 under the theme "Ann pote kole : Yon Ayisien, yon pye bwa" whose the theme has been treated in the carnival meringue of several local and national bands.

During the Carnival, visitors will be guided through several organized tours to discover the beauties of the region, monuments, historic sites, local crafts etc... Tourist information points will be installed in all the entrances of sites. Animation activities and of ambiance will be conducted in order tohighlight the sites and the lakous.

In addition, for the Carnival of Jacmel [of 1 to 3 February 2013] and the National Carnival, the cruise ship "Adriana Tropicana" drop anchor in Haitian waters during the periods of carnival. With 129 cabins, it will ensure the participation of cruise passengers in both events.
