Haiti - Tourism : Evaluation of some beaches of Jacmel

Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, accompanied by Jean Vilmond Hilaire, the Minister of Environment and Philippe Cinéas, the Secretary of State for Public Works, made yesterday Wednesday, a visit of a few hours in Jacmel, as part of the process of redevelopment of some beaches, whose Raymond Les Bains, Ti Mouillage and Kabic Beach.

Some local authorities, including among others the Mayor of Cayes-Jacmel and the Delegate of South East joined the team during the tour of various sites. This tour was an opportunity for the authorities to assess and note the condition of these attractions, in order to consider the type of development appropriate.

Furthermore Monday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin received theNational Award "Youth of the Year 2012", awarded by the Association of Volunteers for Democracy. This distinction celebrates the "achievements of the Minister, for having made ​​history as a young Haitian," one reads on the plaque that was presented to her. Volunteers for Democracy, that is "a space of expression, a tool of participation of Youth in the construction of our young democracy," according to its responsible, is a movement derived of Youth Parliament.
