Haiti - Culture : The President Martelly to the Show «Pikliz»

Last Friday, at the Municipal Palace in Delmas 33, weekly rendezvous of show "Pikliz", which aims to showcase young talent not yet confirmed, the President Michel Martelly has honored the young by his presence and by sharing for a few minutes the scene, in a Municipal Palace pumped under a starry sky and relaxed atmosphere.

The head of state attended the performance of several young talents which the group invited for the evening : the troubaccapela, Union des frères. The President took the opportunity to thank Jean Mario Dupuy, Minister of Culture for this initiative and encourage young people to come every Friday to showcase their talent. "I am 100% behind this initiative, it is a window of opportunity that opens for young people across the country and I encourage all young people who think they have any talent to come and participate."

Side animation, songs, dances, recitations, etc... as many artistic elements drawn from our cultural repertoire has enabled young people to confirm their talent. Groups of all trends confused such as : Ayiti danse, USCH, Murda B, a rap group, and ahalaleel et Johny'n Jina, to mention only those ones, have electrified the audience with their performance.

For his part, the Minister Dupuy, thanked the President for the honor he has done to young by his presence "This demonstrates your interest in the culture and the initiative of the Ministry."

Through this initiative, the group tends rap "Légion Clan" who had participated in the second evening of "Pikliz" has won a contract in the Dominican Republic, first for artists and groups participating in the show "Pikliz".

The highlight of the show was the personal performance of the Head of State, who for nearly a fifteen minutes, returned artist, showed the youth how their dreams can become reality through perseverance. The President Martelly, set the tone on his keyboard, while his Special Adviser, Gregory Mayard Paul, sang a song to the rhythm of ranchera. With the choir juvenile, the Head of State has interpreted an ancient tube of his repertoire and the song "Yélé" by international Haitian singer Wyclef jean.
