Haiti - Football : Victory of Grenadiers against the Dominican Republic (2-1)

As part of the second day of the 17th edition of the Caribbean Nations Cup to the Antigua Recreation Ground of -John’s, our National Selection (Grenadiers) have defeated the team of the Dominican Republic.

In the first half, Lionel St Preux opened the score (12') in favor of the Haitian team. A few minutes later (17'), the Dominican player, Kerby Rodriguez, enjoying a rebound of the Haitian goalkeeper, following a shot from the Dominican Captain Heinz Barmettler, equalizes the score (1-1). The veteran striker Peguero of our national team scored the second goal (39') for Haiti (2-1). At half time the score is still 2-1 and remain unchanged throughout the second period.

With this victory, the Grenadiers take the top of Group A

Group A provisional ranking :

Haiti: 4

Antigua & Barbuda: 3

Dominican Republic: 3

Trindad & Tobago: 1

Our Grenadiers [Frandy Montrévil (GK), Jean Sony Alcénat , Judlin Aveska, Mechack Jérôme, Léonel Saint-Preux, Monumat Constant Junior (Cap), Olrish Saurel, Pascal Milien, Peguero Jean Pilippe, Peter Germain and Vaniel Sirin], will face December 11 at 7:00 pm at the Antigua Recreation Ground of Saint-John’s, the team of Antigua & Barbuda.
