Haiti - Justice : Fake Dominican visas detected at the border of Dajabón
The Dominican General Directorate of Migration, in coordination with the Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, found dozens of fake Dominican visa issued to Haitian citizens at the border point of the province of Dajabón.
The immigration authorities have indicated that an investigation was launched to identify those responsible of these counterfeits and place them at the disposal of justice.
The two government entities warn the Haitian citizens not to be fooled by those who engage in this illegal activity, in violation of the law 285-04 and its implementing regulation in this area.
José Ricardo Taveras Blanco, Director General of Immigration, recalled that any person who violates immigration law will be brought to justice to answer for his actions.
