Haiti - Justice : The Government Commissioner not idle !

Tuesday, Lucman Délille, the Government Commissioner, accompanied by police, conducted during several operations to 17 arrests in the areas of Truitiers Carrefour, Christophe Chanel and before banks and transfer houses.

Wednesday morning in press conference, Lucman Délille explained "[...] The work we have done last Tuesday [...] allowed to make 17 arrests, there were many people on motorbikes, people watching customers leaving the bank, the transfer houses to steal them [...] we received information and we out to get them.

We are asking the population to continue to give us information, you can trust us, out of fear, we give them a phone number and when people call, they talk to me directly, because the battle is in its second phase [...] we will continue to pursue these bandits, so they understand that they can not continue to challenge the authority of the state.

This number is 48 90 39 83, please note that this number is not for cases of kidnapping or for drug dealers, or for those who are in Zokiki. This is a number that we give to people who are in distress, when bandits attack good people, who are disturbed by noises that prevent them from sleeping and for the individuals suspected by these people in the neighborhood where they live, they can call us, so that we can put these bandits out of harm's way.

That they can rest assured that the information will remain with us, there will be no leakage, we will take action against all individuals and vagabonds who continue to sow fear in the population and we continue to seek the solidarity of everyone in society, to eradicate the phenomenon of banditry [...] throughout the territory of Haiti [...]

The operations were performed by the Prosecutor of Port-au-Prince, myself as Chief, accompanied by the police who conducted the crackdowns. We acts in the areas of Truitiers Carrefour, Christophe Chanel, areas known to have individuals that give problems. We also do it near banks and transfer houses. Individuals that that we saw [...] who ran away when they saw us [...] we have blocked them and we will interrogate them to know their implications, in what the society reproaches them [...]"
