Haiti - Justice : Clifford Brandt incarcerated in the Civil prison of Carrefour 26/10/2012 13:03:02
In the case of the abduction on 16 October of two young Coralie [23] and Nicolas Moscoso [24] on the road of Bourdon the well-known businessman, Clifford Brandt [arrested Monday afternoon] and 4 others individuals [Sawadienne Jean (shis secretary), Franck Saintérine (Jean's husband), Ricot Pierreval and Carlo Saint-Fort (the latter two were intercepted Wednesday in Ouanaminthe as they tried to cross the Dominican border, probably to escape)], have appeared Thursday to the Prosecutor of Port-au-Prince, has indicated Gérald Norgaisse, the acting Government Commissioner. Before a certain number of evidence in this case, the prosecution decided, to incarcerate Mr. Clifford Brandt and 4 other suspects, to the Civil Prison of Carrefour for safety reasons, rather than in the National Penitentiary. Me Norgaisse not very talkative on this case, which he described as "very sensitive", indicated that the file will be assigned to a judge for legal suites. Also, Frantz Lerebours, the spokesman of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), announced on Thursday that 3 police officers, including Marc Arthur Thébée (CAT team) two other police officers, were being interrogated to the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ), as part of the investigation of the relationships they had with Clifford Brandt, to determine their possible involvement in the double abduction specifying "This is a precautionary measure."
