Haiti - Tourism : The first tourists of Guadeloupe, are arrived in Haiti

Thursday, the Ministry of Tourism has received a first group of Guadeloupean tourists, of 15 tourists for a stay of 4 nights and 5 days, for the Côte-des-Arcadins at the Hotel "Ibo Lélé" [Pétion ville]. First result of program Éductour.

The arrival of these tourists followed, on the one hand to the initiative of the Ministry of Tourism [in March and May], to invite twenty travel agents of Guadeloupe and Martinique, to visit Haiti within the framework of Éductour [in collaboration with the tourism Association of Haiti (ATH)], to expose them the advantages and potential of Haiti and explore various regions of the country.

And secondly, to the promotional tour in Guadeloupe [in April] of Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, as part of its efforts to put the country on the tourist map of the region. During her visit, of meetings were held with travel agencies and airline officials, for the conclusion of an agreement on the establishment of a tourism package toward Haiti.

During their stay, they will visit the Musée du Panthéon National Haïtien (MUPANAH), the Observatory of Boutilliers, the Iron Market, the Village de Noailles and will participate in the show "Artisanat en fête" at the Historic Park of the Sugar cane before going on the Côte-des-Arcadins.
