Monday after his speech at the high-level meeting on the rule of law, of the 67th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe met with the Nobel Prize of Economy Mr. Muhammad Yunus and summarized his meeting "[...] he set up a micro-credit bank and he is the author of books including 'Banker To the Poor'. He has a business model called 'social business'. The social business that he promotes, consists of creating companies that reinvest their profits in social areas, to help people.

We talked about 15 minutes, Mr. Yunus, will come to Haiti from October 12 to 15, to inaugurate several companies of 'social business' that he has made, particularly in the sector of agriculture and reforestation, we have promised him all our support during his visit. We also invited him to participate in the International Summit against extreme poverty in Haiti, that we will organized from 5 to 7 November 2012, it was a very successful meeting [...]"
