Monday, August 13, the Ministry of Education and vocational training through the district of Léogâne published in Petit-Goave the results of official examinations of the ninth fundamental year 2011-2012. A publication that has angered students from several schools in the city who do not get notes for the subjects they have undergoes. They wrote in front of their name "absent and zero for the notes". But these students claim to have participated to the examinations and clearly identified their names on each copy.

Describing of "Serious errors" these students are asking the Ministry of Education to look into their case and seek the origin of these irregularities. Very frustrated, they demand to know their results for each subject and strongly protests against the mention "absence".

Moreover, last Sunday, the Foundation Dr Henri Gerard Desgranges, led by Ms. Marise Desgranges-Desmangles and Hugues Desgranges, in the presence of the Representative of Deputy Thimoleon, of Robert Jean Louis, the school inspector of the area, of Father Boniface, the parish priest, of Director of Radio Préférence and many residents and parents, has inaugurated in Allium, a town in the 8th communal section of Petit Goâve, the new community school, "École d'Allium".

This school, funded by the Prefecture of Hyōgo in Japan, was built in compliance with seismic standards by the local firm RADCO. The large building includes 8 classrooms, modern WC and a playground.

After having asked the population of Allium to preserve the school and to the members of management and teachers in particular, to provide students with quality education, Father Boniface proceeded with the blessing of the school. The school inspector thanked the members of the Foundation Desgranges to have established such a school in the locality of Allium and the Representative of Deputy Thimoleon, praised Desgrangres family, who work unceasingly for the advancement of the town "[...] by building this school, you have acted in our place, thank you for making of the education and decentralization your priority."
