Finally, the Government has chosen the option to set up the Permanent Electoral Council with 6 members only, allowing the electoral institution, to have a functional majority, while waiting the Parliament out of the deadlock in which it is and be able to appoint in turn, its 3 representatives of the legislature in this Permanent Council, which will then complete the CEP.

The Government decided that it was necessary to act and move forward, what will provoke undoubtedly many reactions in the political sphere...

The Office of Communication of the Presidency confirms that the Permanent Electoral Council (CEP) was established, this Wednesday, August 15, in accordance with the prescribed of the Constitution.

Members of the Permanent Electoral Council :

The citizen Yves Benoit Jean-Marie (Judicial power);

The citizen Patrick Metelus (Judicial power) ;

The citizen Salnave Exantus (Judicial power) ;

The citizen Josue Pierre-Louis (Executive) ;

The citizen Gustave Acacia (Executive) ;

The citizen Raynaldo Brunet (Executive).
