Thursday morning, the Federation of Bar Associations of Haiti (FBH) has officially decided to recall its representative within the Superior Council of Judicial Power (CSPJ). Me Carlos Hercules, President of the FBH, explained that the approach of the Federation aimed to express its "refusal to condone the unacceptable" and requires the return to a situation of law.

Recall that the Federation of Bar Associations of Haiti demanded the unconditional withdrawal of 3 persons selected in a minority vote to represent the Judicial Power, to the Permanent Electoral Council.

In a letter sent to the President of CSPJ, the FBH officially announced, that it is no longer represented within the CSPJ and a second letter to Me Néhémie Joseph to inform him of his immediate recall.

Me Néhémie Joseph, which has a term of 3 years declared "I accept and respect the decision of the Bar Associations of Haiti to withdraw me of the Judicial Power," while regretting the bad start of CSPJ.

Me Carlos Hercules, said that his representative did not resign, since with this recall, "he is no longer a member of CSPJ [...] our seat will remain empty until the President of CSPJ reconsider the choice of three members, appointed irregularly."

Finally, Wednesday, after the change of camp of Me Antoine Norgaisse, the voice (vote) of the latter was counting [without that there is a resumption of the vote in accordance with procedures]. Me Anel Alexis Joseph, with a majority of five members, rejects any suggestion to reconsider the appointment of its 3 representatives.

After the FBH, others representatives protesters could also be recalled in the coming days..
