Dr. Pierre Gaetchen, public health specialist and family medicine and Director of Studies of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of the Aristide Foundation (UNIFA), in Tabarre, informs that the registration process for the new promotion is open since Wednesday and will end August 14, 2012. The admission in first year at the School of Medicine UNIFA is made on competition which, this year will be held Monday, August 20.

The examination will cover the following subjects: Biology - Chemistry - Physics - Mathematics - French and General Knowledge : History and Geography (Haitian and global), arts, science, news.

Registration fees of 1,000 gourdes will have to be aid at time of registration, Dr. Gaetchen asked candidates not to wait until the last day to register to avoid the crowds.

Candidates, aged 25 years or less, may withdraw their registration form in person from 1 to August 14, 2012, on presentation of the following documents :

• 4 recent ID photos and identical

• Academic transcripts Bac I, Bac II (copy and original for certification)

• Photocopy of birth certificate and an extract archives,

• Photocopy of an identity document.

Note : Candidates who have undergone this year the exams of Bac 2nd part will probably not have these documents. They can however register under reserve, id they wish.

"For the next academic year, 240 students will be admitted to the medical school where a high-level training is provided" assured Dr. Pierre Gaetchen, adding that Haitian and foreign teachers, all well trained, are part of the teaching staff of the University and recalling that students have several laboratories, in particular for biology and histology as well as playgrounds and a dormitory.

The University of the Aristide Foundation (UNIFA) is a non-profit institution.
