The First Lady of the Republic of Haiti, Sophia Martelly, at the head of a delegation visited, this Saturday, July 6, the Hospital Notre Dame of Petit-Goâve. he visited the different rooms, collected the complaints of patients, questioned the doctors and nurses. This visit follows the report received, on the critical state of the hospital, produced by the delegation sent by the office of the First Lady, at the invitation of Deputy of the Constituency of Petit-Goâve, Stevenson Jacques Thimoléon, on Thursday, June 21, 2012.

The First Lady has promised to quickly address the problems of pediatrics "as a mother and citizen, the hall of motherhood is not appropriate, the nurses and babies face an unbearable heat and they have other needs [...]," she lamented. "[...] I found, that the Hospital Notre Dame, not working properly and that problems are multiple. We can not solve them all at once, but gradually [...]," declared Sophia Martelly, while seeking the support [and patience] of the population.
